FAB DESIGN has optimised the McLaren P1 with selected aerodynamic components: For an improved ventilation of the engine compartment FAB DESIGN has developed special air deflection ducts for installation on the rear fenders. On the one hand an additional spoiler attached to the series rear spoiler ensures more downforce and increased stability at high and the top speeds. Moreover, the specially developed flaps on the side skirts provide better contact with the road surface. Important for FAB Design in this tuning project was the fact, that the components could be easily fixed and removed from the car without remaining marks on the P1. The P1 can be always tuned and easily be refitted to original P1 collector car. The McLaren P1 is now even more dynamic thanks to the one-piece carbon wheels, which are a world first. For this FAB DESIGN collaborated with the Australian specialists, Carbon Revolution. Thanks to the ultralight carbon composite material the wheels achieve more than 40 percent weight savings compared to aluminium wheels of comparable size. The unsprung mass saved enhances the dynamics of the super sports car making it into the perfect driving pleasure machine.
